What Our Customers Say

We enjoyed our visit to Port Inn over Christmas and look forward to going back next Christmas. Exceptionally clean room, the staff seems to have thought of everything to help you enjoy your stay. There is a beautiful view of the ocean when sitting in the rocking chairs at sunset and walking distance to restaurants and a bar on sight. We hope you enjoy your stay as much as we did.

After evacuating Irma they gave a discount to all evacuees and cottage 98 has a full kitchen, 2 large bedrooms a living room, 3 tvs and a porch with a view. We met the owners and they said they were going to redo that cottage but it was adorable and comfortable as is. The staff was so nice and comforting to all of us evacuees it was more than I could have imagined. We will come back to really enjoy this amazing location and get to all of those high rated restaurants. The Inn gave us free meals since the restaurants closed due to the storm. They just took care of us like family. BTW live music on the porch at night and a fun bar.

–Southern Comfort in an unbelievable location -Maryann L.

I'm a little late writing this - we were there in May 2016 and 2017 and will be back the same time in 2018. For fifty years we have lived in a place called Destin, FL. that is called "paradise" by most visitors. We have traveled the country in a motor home (50k miles) but for us, to get away we want a quieter place, much like Destin once was. We love this inn and always have rm 100 with it's big porch. Yes it is noisy from the highway but such fun to watch the cars and people wave as they go by. Everyone smiles in this town! We have no trouble sleeping. The room is clean, bed very comfortable, eggs and sausage breakfast for $5 is great and The Thirsty Goat bar is fun to hear from the porch while still resting in our rocking chairs. The town is peaceful, the shops very interesting, a road trip to Apalachicola can't be beat. This is not party heaven - go to our Destin for that - but this is the place to rest, reflect and enjoy. This is not for the young or for those seeking glamour and glitter. It is best for those who have been there, done that, and simply want to enjoy some of yesteryear once again.

Great place to stay if you want to check out the local area. Walking distance to shops and restaurants. The staff was friendly, the room was clean and we enjoyed the music on Saturday night.

The location is unbeatable and the staff was super friendly and accommodating! It is centrally located to the bay and some fantastic restaurants. There is a cute little shopping area right in the lobby great for souvenirs. It is home to The Thirsty Goat Bar and Grill, which is super convenient for a drink and great conversation with the locals. The rooms are nice and come stocked with goodies and rare amenities that other hotels don't offer, all at a great price. Will definitely be visiting again soon!

Just an overnight stay to celebrate our anniversary. We love the Port St. Joe/Cape San Blas/Apalachicola area and The Port Inn is where we have stayed the last three times. The Thirsty Goat Lounge is conveniently located in the Inn and the breakfast buffet is excellent. The accommodations are adequate, the rooms are clean and the staff is very friendly and helpful. Walking distance to downtown and bikes available for guests.

Well appointed, roomy and quiet. Had the pool and patio area to ourselves. Bought some fresh caught grouper out on the Cape and grilled it on the BBQ grill on the patio. kitchen was adequately stocked with dishes and utensils.

This hotel exceeded my expectations. I drove by it so many times not realizing the jewel that it is. Exquisitely clean hotel that has been perfectly renovated while preserving its historic look. The friendly staff was very accommodating. I had a great nights sleep as the bed was very comfortable. It has bicycles for traveling Port St Joe and the thirsty goat bar for mingling with other travelers. There is fine shopping and restaurants within walking distance from the hotel as well as beautiful beaches within a 10 minute drive. I plan to stay again for my next trip to Mexico Beach.

Staff was so sweet, room was clean with a touch history everywhere you looked. Also breakfast is awesome, it's like a home away from home. Plus they have bicycle for you to use getting around the small town so you don't have to drive.
